Fire is the name of three distinct abilities in the Dragon Quest series.

• Fire (breath) (ほのお, Honō): In the original three games, the in-game text always described an enemy as breathing out fire regardless of its strength. Starting with remake versions, each fire breath was named to reflect how much damage it inflicted.
• Fire (skillset) (火炎, Kaen): A skill set that first appeared in the Monsters: Joker series of games that teaches various fire skills and spells to monsters.
• Fire (spell) (フアイア, Faia): A fire spell that appears in the Final Fantasy series as well as in Dragon Quest Tact along with its stronger variant, Fira.
