Backdraft is learned by mastering the [[Ranger]] vocation. It sets up a vortex that deflects incoming breath skills, and activates before any other skill in the game--even [[Double Up]].
The skill is learned by reaching rank 8 of the [[Ranger]] vocation. The skill works only once per use, fades after the first hit, and covers only the caster. In addition to all fire and ice breath attacks, [[Burning Breath]], [[Poison Breath]], [[Sweet Breath]] will be reflected as well. [[Venom Mist]] will not be blown back though, oddly.
*In the SNES version none of the status ailment breath skills will be repelled, but [[Pyre o' Fire]], [[Tidal Wave]], [[Magma Blast]], and [[Big Banga]] will be sent back to their source.
