Rexwood is a town located on an island north of Estard Island.

Past

When the hero, Kiefer, and Maribel enters the portal, they landed in a hill not too far from Rexwood. While exploring the hill, they meet a lady named Matilda in front of a grave.

Due to the absence of flowers in the area, she used weeds to offer to the dead, but Maribel insisted of using flower seeds that she picked when she was in Estard. Matilda accepted them, and in gratitude, escorts them to the village. Upon reaching the village, Matilda left them without even saying goodbye.

In the village, they saw no girls in the area, because all of them are captured by monsters. They meet a boy named Patrick who is taking care of his father, who is currently injured. The villagers aren't able to go to the Colorstone Mine to get the medicine that would cure him due to that the mine is overflowing with monsters, but they eventually decided to help Patrick by getting the medicine itself.

Upon reaching the mine, they meet Matilda again inside. They explained the situation to her about Hank, Patrick's father, although, she was unwilling to help.

Deep in the mine, they eventually saw a Green Colorstone, a colorstone able to heal Hank's injuries. Matilda, who shows up again, helps you get a piece of the colorstone, and at the same time, gives them a wooden doll. She says that it is a momento of his brother, but she doesn't need it anymore, and gives it to you.

Upon curing Hank, he escorts you to the Monster Tower, a tower near the village in which is rumored to be the reason why the girls of the village had gone missing. At the peak of the tower, they discover that Matilda's true form is a monster, and she is willing to die in exchange for the peace of Rexwood. They eventually defeated her.

Before going to the portal back to Estard Island, they see Patrick around the grave where the flower seeds Matilda planted grew. Patrick did not know that Matilda, the person who escorted Hank back to the village the time he was injured, is now dead. They just decided to not tell him, and gives him Matilda's wooden doll.
