The battle axe is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise. It is often a mid-ranking axe.

Dragon Quest III
The battle axe has an attack bonus of +60 (+40 in the NES Version). It can only be equipped by a Warrior.
Dragon Quest IV
The battle-axe has an attack bonus of +50.
Dragon Quest V
The battle axe has an attack bonus of 45.
Dragon Quest VI

The battle axe has an attack bonus of +49 and an appearance bonus of +15. It can be equipped by the Hero, Kiefer, and Aira.
