Battle axe

The battle axe is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise. It is often a mid-ranking axe.

Appearances

Dragon Quest III

The battle axe has an attack bonus of +60 (+40 in the NES Version). It can only be equipped by a Warrior.

Dragon Quest IV

The battle-axe has an attack bonus of +50.

Dragon Quest V

The battle axe has an attack bonus of 45. Can be bought for 4,000 gold in Stockenbarrel and sold for 3,000. Sancho, Brownie, Eliminator, Gigantes, and Orc King can equip it.

Dragon Quest VI

Has attack bonus of 49. Can be bought in Arcbolt for 4,300 gold.

Dragon Quest VII

The battle axe has an attack bonus of +49 and an appearance bonus of +15. It can be equipped by the Hero, Kiefer, and Aira.

Dragon Quest VIII

The battle-axe has an attack bonus of +45. It can only be equipped by Yangus.
