Bellyflop

From Dragon Quest Wiki

Bellyflop, occasionally known as Body Press, is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. It was first used by the Heligator and its variants as a way attack a group of enemies by leaping into their air and slamming down with their immense bulk, and has since been used by similarly dense monsters.

Dragon Quest X[edit]

There are a few variations of Bellyflop in this game. The Leaf spirit and its variants use a version that simply deals 150% damage to a single target. Killer gila and its variants use a version that deals damage in a fan-shaped area in front of them and can knock back. The version used by the Heligator and its cousins is similar to its original appearance, inflicting 130% damage to a target and any nearby characters and knocking them back, as well.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit]

Body Press can be learned by Heligator at level 42 and costs 49 MP to use. It inflicts 175% potency physical damage to all enemies in a rhombus-shaped area around it and has a chance to bind them, as well.
