Appearances

Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line

Beran is located on a large island surrounded by mountains. Players can access the city by taking the center teleportal in the Fire Shrine, or by docking the boat on the southwestern side of the island. The city houses a Bank and a Tombola wheel. In the remakes of Dragon Quest II, staying at the inn in Beran causes the Prince of Cannock to fall ill. The only cure is for the remaining Luminaries to travel east of Burrowell and retrieve a Yggdrasil leaf from a forest on a small island south of the subterranean town. When administered to the prince, he makes a full recovery. The marks the only occasion when the Prince of Midenhall and the Princess of Moonbrooke travel together alone.

Beran holds the only teleportal that can be used to access Rendarak. It connects to the Shrine South of Rendarak which provides access to the Cave to Rendarak; assuming the heroes possess the False Idol.
