Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry SkiesEdit

Brighten rocks can be collected at the Djust Desert and Wormwood Canyon or found randomly in the fountain at Quester's Rest if the player's inn has been fully upgraded. They can be dropped by Cosmic chimaeras, Goodybags, and Rashaveraks. Brighten rocks can be received as a reward for repeating Quest #142: Prayermongering. It can be sold for 48 gold coins each or used in the following alchemy recipes:

Dragon Quest XEdit

Brighten rocks are used as an ingredient for crafting weapons, armour, and furniture or in Alchemy to increase resistance against instant death. They can be purchased from a material store for 310 gold each or dropped by certain monsters, such as Goodybags, Royal reptiles, and Sculptrices.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive AgeEdit

Brighten rocks can be purchased from the roving emporium at the Snærfelt for 770 gold coins each or received from sparkly spots in the Viking Hideout, the Dundrasil Region, the Gallopolis - Whale Way Station, the Battleground, and the Eerie Valley. They can also be dropped by Luminous lamplings, Cosmic chimaeras, and Snowgres. The rocks can be sold for 192 gold each or can be used in the following recipes for the Fun-Size Forge:

Dragon Quest TreasuresEdit

Brighten rocks can be purchased for 250 gold each, collected from the green nodes of ore on the Paternoggin and the Wingswept Moors, or by sending a dispatch team to the Soaring Steps or Greywing Bridge. It is mainly used for crafting pellets at the Werks or for scouting monsters.
