These weapons and pieces of armour frequently boast greater stats compared to normal pieces of equipment, but impart various harmful effects to any who wield them such as sapping the wearer's HP or randomly paralyzing them in battle. Cursed equipment cannot be removed normally, often requiring a benediction from a priest at any church.
