Strike skills refers to miscellaneous, damage-causing abilities within the Dragon Quest series. The classification contains both martial arts techniques and rock-based attacks, with the current hypothesis behind the shared element being that a fighter would have to have fists of stone/rock-hard hands to deal such damage barehanded. Though as of 2015 no official term has been presented from Square-Enix, the most common fan moniker will be used as a place holder.
