The Charmour, originally known as MageArmor, is a recurring monster in in the series that was introduced in Dragon Quest VII.

Characteristics

Charmours are magic suits of armour that have been enchanted to come to life. Their armour is two-toned perfectly down the middle, with their left sides being orange and their right sides being silver. They have a golden set of horns like the other suits of armour in its family. Charmours wield silver poleaxes and green shields with a skull emblazed on them and a golden border. They are capable of leaping in the air in an acrobatic manner and performing agile attacks. In the 3DS version of Dragon Quest VII, charmours split apart when they are defeated, revealing that nothing is inside the suits of armour.

Description Enchanted suits of armour that are well-protected against all manner of magic, and can cast sleep. Attack them with earth.

Their armour isn't made of iron, or even platinum, but of crystals of concentrated conjury, which give it mighty magical power.
