The Cruelcumber is a recurring monster that made its debut in Dragon Quest IX.

Characteristics

The Cruelcumber and their cousins are tribal looking vegetables with deranged smiles, their tongues flailing about as they fight. Interestingly, a bit of dishwater blonde hair extends from the tip of their stem, giving them a look reminiscent of the Chonmage, a traditional Japanese topknot hairstyle.
