Dessert demon

From Dragon Quest Wiki

The Dessert demon is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. It looks like a Belial, but with a spoon instead of a fork and orange shoes and gloves instead of purple.

Characteristics

Dessert demons are bulky demons that look like anthropomorphic bulls with lumpy yellow skin, a long pointy tail, a pair of large red bat-like wings on their backs, and a pair of horns on its head. It has yellow eyes, a tuft of orange hair on top of its head, and the underside of its body is white. The demons wears a pair of orange gloves and boots and its most notable feature, naturally, is the huge silver spoon it wields with both of its hands instead of a pitchfork. It is said to have a compassionate personality for a demon. Its skin is said to be discolored due to its unbalanced diet of only eating sweets. According to its bestiary description in X, there is a rumor that the demon may be a Belial.

Appearances

Dragon Quest X

The dessert demon appears as the rarefied monster version of the Archdemon from the start of Version 4 onwards. In this game, it is actually much more powerful than its fellow purple demon, occasionally acting twice per turn, having the ability to cast Kaboom and Kaboomle, and supporting its allies with Kabuff and Zing.
