Dragon Quest is a game series made by Enix (now Square-Enix). It is rivaled with Final Fantasy, even though Square (The makers of Final Fantasy) merged into Enix in 2003. The series started before Final Fantasy but is only on its eighth main installment, Dragon Quest VIII. Most Dragon Quest games have been completely remade on newer video game systems. The ninth main installment of the series is set to release in 2008 for Nintendo DS.
