Gameplay
The main goal of the game is to obtain the rare treasures scattered throughout Draconia and assert the blue-eyed brother and sister as the ultimate treasure hunters--no less than 777 precious possessions are hidden away in the fabled floating islands. To track these down, the player can freely explore the world with the help of the monsters they scout. Thanks to the Fortune Finder skill and the travelling traits of their new friends, Erik and Mia can find hidden treasures all over Draconia. Using the Fortune Finder allows the siblings to see what their monster partners see, which allows them to easily locate loot the player would otherwise miss. Each monster's vision is different, for instance the vision from a restless armour is obstructed by the visor of its helmet, while a dracky sees in monochrome.

The combat is action based and takes place in real-time, with the player controlling one of the children at a time while AI handles up to three monsters help defeat the foes. Erik and Mia can fight up close and personal with their newly acquired dragon daggers or pick enemies off at a distance by shooting them with catapult pellets that offer a variety of effects ranging from elemental damage, healing and buffing allies, and inflicting status ailments.

Sometimes rival treasure-hunting gangs will appear in the field and challenge the player over their loot, while others will attempt to raid the player's base on Eggshell Island.

Taming monsters is divided in two steps: scouting the monster, which can happen randomly after defeating it and be influenced by certain catapult pellets to a degree, and paying the monster it's fee in order to properly hire it by the Trans-Draconic Railway Company the children ally with. Each monster requires different items or gold as their fee! After both steps are completed, the monster joins the group.

The game offers a range of multiplayer facilities thanks to the assistance of AL4N the diplo-bot, who will guide players when communicating online. Treasures can be hidden for other players to find, monsters can be sent off to aid friends or be headhunted via ID codes, and tours of treasure vaults can be taken.
