Draug

Draug is a minor character from Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors.

A minor deity and denizen of the Mirror World, Draug is the most proficient blacksmith in the world. The Hero and his party travel to the Mirror World in the hopes of soliciting his help in repairing the Rorrim Mask, which is essential in defeating Xiphos the Deathbringer and which the Hero was manipulated into slicing in half.

He first tests their worthiness by engaging them in battle, attacking by stomping on them and hurling pieces of marble at them. Upon his defeat, he immediately restores to the mask to like-new condition, and additionally offers the Hero Rednusadner, an item of his own design and possibly the only sword in the world capable of injuring Xiphos.

"Draug" spelled backwards is guard.
