Emberdale

Engow is a town on an island far north of Fishbel.

Past

When the hero's group enters Engow, they see that the town is preparing for a festival. At the elder's house, they see the elder and an elderly woman named Pamela arguing about continuing the festival. Pamela wishes for it not to continue, because she has foreseen a terrible event at the conclusion of the festival. The elder does not believe her prediction, and decides to continue the festivities.

The group enters Pamela's house and talks to her. She says that they need to help the people because she predicts that Mt. Flame will erupt on the day of the festival. They agreed to help, and on the day of the festival, they went to Mt. Flame.

While investigating, they discover a monster at the bottom of the volcano that collects the flames from the torches that the villagers throw at the volcano. The festival includes the villagers throwing torches to the volcano as some kind of offering to the 'god'. They defeat the monster, but the accumulated flame caused the smoke to go black, creating a sort of a black flame. Using Hondura's mysterious liquid (holy water), they cleansed the black flame, and the village remained peaceful.

Present

In the present, a hotsprings was created underneath the well in Engow. Pamela's shop is also still there, but has a different Pamela running the shop.

After the world has been covered in darkness, they went back to Engow to seek the help of Flame Spirit. With the help of Pamela, they were able to wake up the Flame Spirit.
