Fencing foxes are [[Beast family|vulpine]] swordsmen dressed in the manner of an aristocrat. They wear a green and orange striped doublet with a ruff and a long orange cape around their necks, dark blue rounded hose, fuchsia boots and gloves, and a fuchsia cavalier with a long plume on their heads. They wield silver rapiers in their right hands. Along with their fencing, the foxes can cast some magic in battle, as well.

The fencing fox is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VIII. It is an anthropomorphic fox dressed as a foppish fencer.
