Gobstopper is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest Monsters spin-off games. When used, it prevents enemies from using Breath-based attacks.

Dragon Quest Monsters
Gobstopper (known as MouthShut in this game) shuts one foe's mouth shut for 4~6 turns, and costs 6 MP to use. It requires the monster to be at least level 17 with 120 HP, 100 strength, and 140 agility to learn. The Platypunk, Mottle king slime, Ghost, and Toadstool naturally learn the skill.

The requirement to learn MouthShut are unchanged. It is naturally learned by the ArrowDog, Pyuro and RayGigas.

Gobstopper can be learned from various skill trees.
