GoldGolem and Golden Golem redirect here. For the winged centaur monster, see Balhib. For the rock basher monster, see Gold basher.

The gold golem (originally Gold Man) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in the original game, it is a golem made of bullion and, as such, awards a large amount of gold when defeated.

Characteristics

The gold golem is summed up by its name: it is a golem made out of gold bricks.

When compared to the original golem and its other palette swaps, the gold golem is usually the weakest of the bunch. It can still be a potentially dangerous monster, however, though most players would desire an encounter for the hefty amount of gold it drops.
