The gold golem (originally Gold Man) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in the original game, it is a golem made of bullion and, as such, awards a large amount of gold when defeated.

Characteristics

The gold golem is summed up by its name: it is a golem made out of gold bricks.

When compared to the original golem and its other palette swaps, the gold golem is usually the weakest of the bunch. It can still be a potentially dangerous monster, however, though most players would desire an encounter for the hefty amount of gold it drops.

Description Glittery golems who have the Midas touch -- and an explosive punch.

Gold golems appear as rank D members of the material family and can be scouted within Palaish Isle's shrine where they can be found on the second floor in the room with a coat-of-arms hanging on the far-wall, though their appearances are relatively rare.
