Harry (known as Henry in fan localizations of Dragon Quest V) is a prince of the kingdom of Coburg. Abducted as a child, he was later rescued by the hero and Pankraz, only to be captured again by Bishop Ladja and sold into slavery along with the hero at the end of the first era in the game. Ten years later, Harry and the hero escape, and after travelling together for a time, Harry helps the hero to unveil an imposter at Coburg and is restored to the throne, becoming King of Coburg during the second era.
