The Haunted Housekeeper is the first boss in Dragon Quest V. He is the ringleader behind the hauntings at Uptaten Towers. When first confronted, he drops the hero and Bianca down a trap door where they are to be prepared as a feast. Unfortunately for him, they manage to fight off the undead and face him at the balcony.
The Housekeeper can be tough at lower levels due to his fire magic physical attacks. Getting upgraded equipment in Roundbeck is recommended. If Bianca is at least level 7, she can cast Kasap to make him more vulnerable to melee attacks. Once he is defeated, he will surrender and confess that he and the ghosts were outcasts from Nadiria and were simply looking for a home.
