The Hell Hornet (originally MadHornet / Mad Hornet due to display constraints) is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest VI, it is a monstrous hornet.
Characteristics
Hell Hornets appear as giant, wasp/hornet-like creatures with large, stinger-bearing abdomens, a pair of scythe-like arms, and eight wings. They have green eyes with tiny pupils and are primarily brownish-red and yellow in color.
Speedy monsters, Hell Hornets often appear in groups and make deadly use of their stingers to paralyze victims in combat. While they aren't typically durable creatures, they can still inflict a good deal of injury before being disposed of.
