Hustle Dance is a recurring dance in the Dragon Quest series.

It restores a chunk of HP to the party with the power of a bombastic rhythm.

AppearancesEdit

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of RevelationEdit

Hustle Dance is learned by advancing to rank 6 of the Luminary vocation, restoring 70~80 HP. The dance also heals those resting in the wagon.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten PastEdit

Same as VI in the PSX version, but also learned by reaching rank 3 of the Druid vocation in the 3DS remake. In the latter version the amount of HP restored has been nerfed to 50~60.

It can be used by the enemies Vulgarian, Elepus, and Octophant.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed KingEdit

Jessica Albert can perform the Hustle Dance after allocating 100 skill points into her "Sex Appeal" skill.

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry SkiesEdit

Hustle Dance can be performed by any character that has the Further Fanmanship (quest #76) item in their inventory.

Dragon Quest XEdit

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive AgeEdit

Hustle Dance can be learned by Sylvando for 14 skill points in the Showmanship skillset of his character builder. It will restore around 70~80 HP to the entire party for 14 MP, reaching to a maximum of 257~267 based on Sylvando's Charm attribute.

Dragon Quest MonstersEdit

Called Hustle in this game, this ability can be learned by various monsters and will restore 70~80 HP for 10 MP. It requires the monster to reach at least level 18, with at least 114 HP, 130 Agility, and 96 Intelligence. It can be learned by monsters who have HealAll and Side Step. It is naturally learned by the FunkyBird, MudDoll and SuperTen, among others.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2Edit

Hustle now requires 173 Intelligence. It is naturally learned by the Emyu, Octogon and TreeBoy.

Hustle Dance costs a considerable 40 MP, but now restores twice the dancer's level as HP to the party. It is learned via the The Almighty, Cure-All, Hottie, Outlaw, Party Monster, Pop Diva, Pop Idol, Rug Cutter, Supreme Healer, and Taste Buddies talents.

Hustle Dance can once again be learned by Jessica for 15 skill points and costs 25 MP to use. She is the only character in the game who can heal the entire party. When used, spotlights will appear on Jessica and she will be unable to act until the dance finishes, restoring the entire party for about 30~40 HP at the end.

  • Hustle Dance can be powered up twice with the skill Hustle Dance Bolsterer for 20 skill points each, which will increase the amount of HP restored to about 90~110.
