The Iron tortoise is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series and was introduced in Dragon Quest VI.

Characteristics

Iron tortoises are big tortoise-like monsters with orange and brown scaly skin and covered with armor pieces. The main part of the armor is the brown and pruple tortoise shell which has holes where metallic spikes can be summoned to harm the enemies that dare touching the shell. The armor remnant is the helmet that these tortoises are wearing in their head and which is also brown and purple.
