Kafrizzle (メラガイアー Meragaia) is a recurring offensive spell in the Dragon Quest Series. Kafrizzle is the most powerful spell of Frizz family, cremating a single enemy to deliver maximum fire damage.

Appearances

Dragon Quest IX

Learned by Mage Level 64 Cremates a single enemy with an enormous fireball for 45 MP, dealing 292~315 base damage. Once the caster's magical might reaches 480, the spell will begin to reach it's cap of 577~623.

Localization Differences

In Dragon Quest IX, Kafrizzle (メラガイアー Meragaiā) is a new spell; however, despite the fact that Merazoma had been localized as Kafrizzle in Dragon Quest VIII and the DS remakes, to keep with the new spell naming structure Merazoma became Kafrizz. Kafrizzle therefore remains the most powerful of the Frizz family of spells.
