List of events in A Hero's Bonds

List of events in Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds.

Event Quests are unlocked by completing "Episode 11 - A Rift in Spacetime" in "Chapter 1: Two Worlds" from the Bonding Journey storyline.

When character acquisition events end, the event characters and their jewels become available in Merle's Mystic Fortunes shop to players who missed the events.

The Hero Tutor Returns

Available from September 28. From on October 28, 2021, onward this event became permanent due to favorable fan reception.

Players will be able to recruit a new character, Avan (Dermline Dress), by progressing through Event Quests.

Profile: Avan is a former Hero and mentor to Dai and his friends. In the past, he defeated the Dark Lord and saved the world. Despite his mischievous side, he has an unshakeable will and is a kind, caring teacher.
In battle, he can buff his allies' Defence and cast continuous healing spells.

Hall of Perdition: Wild Ebony King

Unlike all other events, the Hall of Perdition events are not time-limited and can be challenged at any time. The Hall of Perdition is unlocked by completing "Episode 14 - Enter the Hall of Perdition" in "Chapter 1: Two Worlds" from Bonding Journey.

Starting from September 28, 2021, the Wild Ebony King (Manticore) will be available in the Hall or Perdition.

The Manticore Trophy, one of the most interesting rewards from this event quest, raises the damage dealt to Beast enemies, and can increase Faint Resistance.

Action is Virtue: The Solitary Swordsman

Available from September 30 to October 13, 2021.

Player will be able to recruit a new character, Hyunckel (Disciple of Avan), by progressing through Event Quests.

Profile: He switched sides after his battle with Dai helped to rekindle his desire for true justice. In battle, he excels in continuous attacks and debuff skills, making him a good choice for the front line.
Hyunckel is an expert swordsman and former commander of the Undead Legion.

By adding Hyunckel (Disciple of Avan) to the party and using the Mystic Rapier (Event Equipment), players can earn even more rewards from Event Quests.

Event equipment details:

• Mystic Rapier, a 3★ Slash-element Sword that raises the amount of event tokens obtained after each quest.

Armour Trial: Spike Armour

Available from October 13 am to October 26, 2021.

Progressing through this Event Quest provides players with the chance to obtain new 4★ armour: Spike Armour (Top) and Spike Armour (Legs).

Event equipment details:

• Spike Armour (Top) is in the Armour (Top) category, and it's trait is that it reduces the target's Physical Defence temporarily after performing a Guard Break. (15%)
• Spike Armour (Legs) is in the Armour (Legs) category. It's trait raises the user's Physical Attack temporarily after performing a Guard Break. (15%)

Weapon Trial: Hierophant Sword

Available from October 22 am to November 5, 2021.

Progressing through this Event Quest provides players with the chance to obtain a new 4★ weapon: Hierophant Sword.

Event equipment details:

• Hierophant Sword is a Light-element Sword, that raises damage dealt to Dragon-type enemies. (8%)

Little Hero's Nostalgic Garb

A new character event will be available from October 28 to November 9, 2021.

Players will be able to recruit a new character, Dai (Romos Raiment), by progressing through Event Quests.

Profile: In recognition of his efforts to protect the Kingdom of Romos from the Dark Army, he came to be known as Dai, the Little Hero among the people. He was given this new equipment by the King of Romos in recognition of this efforts to protect the kingdom.
Dai (Romos Raiment) specialises in inflicting Fire damage and is a well-balanced fighter.

Event equipment details:

• Silver Rapier, a 3★ Fire-element Sword that raises the amount of event tokens obtained after each quest.

Hall of Perdition: Mechanised Soldier from Ancient Times

Starting from October 28, 2021, the Mechanised Soldier from Ancient Times (A3G15) will be available in the Hall or Perdition.

The A3G15 Trophy, this event's featured reward, raises the damage dealt to Material enemies, and can increase Poison Resistance.

A Young Mage's Training

Available from November 8 to November 21, 2021.

Players will be able to recruit a new character, Popp (Romos Raiment) by progressing through Event Quests.

Profile: Popp overcame his cowardly nature and stood up to powerful enemies to protect his friends. He was given this new equipment by the King of Romos in recognition of his efforts to protect the kingdom.
Popp (Romos Raiment) specialises in inflicting magical Ice damage with a wide area of effect.

Event equipment details:

• Shiverstick, a 3★ Ice-element Heavy Wand that raises the amount of event tokens obtained after each quest.

Weapon Trial: The Righteous Lance

Available from November 18 to December 3, 2021.

Progressing through this Event Quest provides players with the chance to obtain a new 4★ weapon: Righteous Lance.

Event equipment details:

• Righteous Lance is a Thurst-element Spear, that raises the user's Thrust damage temporarily after performing a Boss Break. (25%)

Hall of Perdition: Undead King & Commander of the Night

Starting from November 22, 2021, the Undead King & Commander of the Night (Night Knight) will be available in the Hall or Perdition.

The Night Knight Trophy, this event's featured reward, raises the damage dealt to Undead enemies, and can increase Paralyse Resistance.

Armour Trial: Glombolero

Available from November 30, to December 13, 2021.

Progressing through this Event quest provides players with a chance to obtain new 4★ armour: Glomboleto (Top and Legs).

Event equipment details:

• Glombolero (Top) is a Robe (Top) type of armor that raises the user's Magical Defence temporarily when a skill with a stock of 2 or higher is used. (15%)
• Glombolero (Legs) is a Robe (Legs) type of armor that raises the user's Physical Defence temporarily when a skill with a stock of 2 or higher is used. (15%)

Play to Your Strengths

A new character event will be available from December 8 to December 23, 2021.

Players will be able to recruit a new character, Dai (Bengarna Outfit), by progressing through Event Quests.

Profile: Armour Leona bought in Bengarna department store. Leona modified it for improved mobility.
Dai (Bengarna Outfit) specialises in inflicting Thunder damage and is a well-balanced fighter.

Event equipment details:

• Sword of Lightning, a 3★ Thunder-element Sword that raises the amount of event tokens obtained after each quest.

The Knight & The Hero

A new character event will be available from December 21, 2021 to January 3, 2022.

Players will be able to recruit a new character, Baran (Dragon Master General), by progressing through Event Quests.

Profile: The Dark Army's Dragon Legion is made up of the strongest of all beasts, and this is their Legion Commander. The Dragon Master General possesses unimaginable power and aspires for the extermination of all humans.
Baran (Dragon Master General) specialises in inflciting Thunder damage and is a well-balanced fighter.

Event equipment details:

• Templar's Sword, a 3★ Thunder-element Sword that raises the amount of event tokens obtained after each quest.

Hall of Perdition: Goldbreath Dragon

Starting from December 23, 2021, the Goldbreath Dragon (Ethereal Serpent) will be available in the Hall or Perdition.

The Ethereal Serpent Trophy, the featured reward in this event quest, lowers the damage recieved from Dragon enemies, and can increase Burn Resistance.

Dragon Knight Challenger

The high difficulty event will be available from December 29, 2021 through January 1, 2022.

The Dragon Knight Challenger is an ultimate-difficulty quest with terrifying enemies to challenge. Completing this event will earn players the exclusive Dragon Knight Vanquisher accolade.

The Dark Commander Descends

A new character event will be available from January 1 to January 14, 2022.

Players will be able to recruit a new character, Hadlar (Valge Clothing), by progressing through Event Quests.

Profile: Once defeated by Avan, the Dark Lord Hadlar was revived by the Dark King Vearn to lead the Dark Army as the Dark Commander.
Hadlar (Valge Clothing) specialises in inflicting magical Fire damage with a wide area of effect.

Event equipment details:

• Magma Staff, a 3★ Fire-element Heavy Wand that raises the amount of event tokens obtained after each event quest.

New Year's Celebration Present Quest

From January 1 to January 5, 2022, a new year celebration event is held. During the event, players can participate on quests to obtain big amounts of experience points, gold and even a special accolade. Event tickets are required to depart on the event quests.

Warrior Priest's Grand Gear

A new character event will be available from January 1 to January 14, 2022.

Players will be able to recruit a new character, Maam (Romos Raiment), by progressing through Event Quests.

Profile: Shorty after leaving Nayle Village, Maam was given this equipment by the King of Romos in recognition of the party's efforts to protect the kingdom.
Maam (Romos Raiment) specialises in healing and buffing her allies, as well as dealing Light element damage.

Event equipment details:

• Spitnik Sceptre, a 3★ Light-element Wand that raises the amount of event tokens obtained after each event quest.

A Loyal Land Rider's Pledge

A new character event will be available from January 25 to February 7, 2022.

Players will be able to recruit a new character, Larhart (Dark Armour Spear (Amdo)), by progressing through Event Quests.

Profile: One of the Dragon Masters serving under Baran. He wields the Dark Armour Spear that Lon Beruk made with blinding speed and pinpoint accuracy.
Larhart (Dark Armour Spear (Amdo)) specialises in inflicting physical Thrust damage with lightning-fast spear attacks.

Event equipment details:

• Sandstorm Spear, a 3★ Thrust-element Spear that raises the amount of event tokens obtained after each event quest.

Hall of Perdition: Vermillion Dragon Born of Flames

Starting from January 25, 2022, the Vermillion Dragon Born of Flames (Dread dragon) will be available in the Hall or Perdition.

The Dread Dragon Trophy, this event's featured reward, raises the damage dealt to Dreagon enemies, and can increase Sleep Resistance.

Armour Trial: Cragmail Armour

Available from February 4 to February 16, 2022.

Progressing through this Event Quest provides players with the chance to obtain new 4★ armour: Cragmail Armour (Top and Legs).

Event equipment details:

• Cragmail (Top) is in the Armour (Top) category, and it's trait is that it reduces the target's Slash Resistance temporarily when a special move hits. (15%)
• Cragmail (Legs) is in the Armour (Legs) category. It's trait raises the user's Slash damage temporarily when using a special move. (20%)

Hall of Perdition: The Emperor's New Foes

Starting from February 25, 2022, the The Emperor's New Foes (Emperor Slime) will be available in the Hall or Perdition.

The Emperor Slime Trophy, this event's featured reward, raises the damage dealt to Slime enemies, and can increase Seal Resistance.

New Vocation: Martial Artist

As of March 1, 2022, a new vocation will be available for the Luminary Leader and certain other allies: Martial Artist.

Martial Artists are physical fighters with high Attack. A great vocation for those who like to get in close and get their hands dirty!

By using the Rapid Attack -an action you can perform by tapping and holding- you can dash up to enemies and smash them. A counterattack will be performed when there is a counterattack chance.

Martial Artists can also equip newly added gear, such as Claw weapons and Figher Garb!

Martial Artists can enter the Warrior Master State to power up in battle! Build up their gauge by attacking enemies and unleash their true power! The Warrior MAster State boosts the user's critical rate for physical attacks, and makes them less likely to be staggered by enemy attacks.

The Martial Artist's Resolve

A new character event will be available from March 1 to March 13, 2022.

Players will be able to recruit a new character, Maam (Martial Artist), by progressing through Event Quests.

Profile: Born to a Warrior and a Priest that fought with Avan, the Disciple of Avan Maam has gone from Warrior Priest to Martial Artist after studying under Brokeena.
Maam (Martial Artist) specialises in inflicting physical Strike damage with lightning-fast attacks.

Event equipment details:

• Brawler Claws, 3★ Strike-element Claws that raise the amount of event tokens obtained after each event quest.
