The following are Sword skills in Dragon Quest IX. Sword skills can be learned via Minstrel, Warrior, Thief, Gladiator, and Armamentalist classes.
Dragon Slash
An attack that deals heavy damage to dragons.
Metal Slash
An attack that can damage enemies with metal bodies. It deals one extra point of damage.
Miracle Slash
Heals the user's own wounds when it hits.
Falcon Slash
A double slicing attack, faster than a falcon on the wing.
Gigaslash
A technique for cutting down a group of enemies. Deals lightning damage.
Omnivocational Swordmaster
Enables the character to use swords with any vocation.
