Lullab-Eye
Lullab-Eye is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. The user's eyes gleam eerily to put a party member to sleep. It is mainly used by bosses and in many games, there is typically no way to resist its hypnotic effects.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of SalvationEdit
In remake versions of the game, Lullab-Eye can be used by Xenlon, as well as Gran Dragon in the GBC version. The effect lasts between 1~4 turns.
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the ChosenEdit
Appearing only in the remakes, Lullab-Eye is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Testudogres, as well as Aamon's ultimate form. The effect lasts for 2~4 turns.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of RevelationEdit
Lullab-Eye makes its first appearance in the series as an enemy-only skill that can be used by the bosses Second Test, Murdaw during the third battle against him, Mortamor's third form, and Nokturnus. It puts a party member to sleep for 1~4 turns.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten PastEdit
Lullab-Eye is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Eyesaur, Hideous eyesaur, Testudogre, Orgodemir in his first form when faced at the Malign Shrine and his second form during the final battle, as well as the Almighty. In the original Sony PlayStation version, the in-game text states that the user's "eyes glinted suspiciously! A great sleepiness comes over the character."
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed KingEdit
Lullab-Eye can be used by Dhoulmagus during the first phase of the battle, along with his clones, Rhapthorne during the first battle in the Black Citadel and the second phase of the final battle, Dhoulmagus in Memoriam, as well as the Silver dragon and the Darksteel dragon. A character will be put to sleep even if they are wearing a Ring of awakening or a Catholicon ring.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry SkiesEdit
Lullab-Eye can be used by Boa bishops, Godsteeds, Corvus in his second form, Fowleye, and the Legacy bosses Mortamor, Nokturnus, and Rhapthorne from level 5 onward. Once again, the ability ignores any equipment that protects against sleep like the Rousing ring, but it is possible to become immune to its effects with either Knight Watch or Soul Asylum.
Dragon Quest XEdit
Lullab-Eye can be used by various monsters and bosses, including Living statues, Testudogres, Moai minstrels, Nelgel the Netherlord, and Maldragora the Worldmaker. Unlike previous games, it is possible to avoid being put to sleep if the character is immune or with the help of Snap, Crackle, Poof.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive AgeEdit
Lullab-Eye can be used by Lump mages, Vicious lump shamans, and Calasmos. As with X, it is possible to avoid being put to sleep with immunity or Snap, Crackle, Poof.
- In the Definitive Edition of the game, it can also be used by Archfiend's acolytes, Hoopthorne, and the End of Time.
Dragon Quest TactEdit
Lullab-Eye is known naturally by Rhapthorne at Level 1. It costs 24 MP to cast, has a range of 3 squares away from him in any direction, and has a high chance to put a single enemy to sleep.
