Magical mace

The Magical mace is a recurring wand in the Dragon Quest series. The wand is famous for reintroducing the concept of wands draining magic points upon striking enemies to the series, after the Staff of antimagic lost this trait after IV.

The Magical mace has an attack bonus of +79, and has a 25% chance to drain an enemy's MP upon contact. It can be equipped by Jessica and Angelo. It can be purchased for 9,000 gold coins at both Empycchu and Dark Empycchu and sold for 4,500 gold. One can be found in a treasure chest on the Isolated Plateau. It can be used in a single recipe for the Alchemy Pot:

Dragon Quest TactEdit

The Magical mace is an A-rank wand that appears as part of the limited Dragon Quest VIII event that can be received as a reward for completing The Dark Ruins stage at B5, 10, or 16 or purchased from the event Swap Shop. It has a WIS bonus of +22 and increases the wielder's spell potency by 2%. It has three slots for Alchemy Effects. Two of the potential effects are increasing the potency of Jessica's Crimson Fireball and Searing Kasizz spells.
