No Dragon Quest titles were featured or mentioned at the 2013 E3 video games expo.  It seems apparent that Square Enix and Nintendo are abandoning Dragon Quest in North America and Europe, based on the poor sales of Dragon Quest X on the Wii U in Japan.  It's possible that the 3DS remake of Dragon Quest VII will eventually be released worldwide, but that is still to be determined.  Due to mis-management and a poor decision in making Dragon Quest X an online-only, subscription game, North America and Europe are entering a second "dark age" for Dragon Quest similar to 1992-1999.  This wiki will live on in a mostly hibernation state due to lack of new available content.  All of the momentum generated by the strong Dragon Quest IX sales in 2010 have been wasted by a Square Enix team that could not capitalize on the larger western market.

[[Dragon Quest X]] has finally had some information revealed in Japan.  Square Enix held a press conference to talk about the game and confirmed that it will be on the Wii.  They also revealed that it will have additional features on the Wii U as well as being an online game.<br/>
