Midenhall, also known as Lorasia, is a castle located in northeast Torland, and is the starting location of Dragon Warrior II. It is one of the three kingdoms established by the descendant of Erdrick and Lady Lora. Midenhall is the home of the Prince of Midenhall, the main protagonist of Dragon Quest II, and is the starting and ending point of the game. At the beginning of Dragon Quest II, a wounded soldier arrives from the kingdom of Moonbrooke to tell the king of the events of Hargon's attack on his cousin's castle.
Often thought to be the most powerful due to the strength possessed by the Prince of Midenhall, it is where the wounded solider from Moonbrooke goes instead of Cannock which is much closer.

Notes
The name Lorasia derives from Lady Lora. She and the hero from Dragon Quest traveled to new lands after the events of Dragon Quest. Lorasia is likely one location they founded as it is also ruled by one of their descendants.
Midenhall has a jail that houses an Evil Clown (a Magus in the Game Boy Color remake) that will drop the Princess of Moonbrooke's best weapon, the Staff of Thunder.
The first floor of Hargon's Castle is initially an illusion of Midenhall. The Rubiss Charm is necessary to dispatch the illusion and proceed to Hargon's throne room.
