Monstrous Musk is an ability in the 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII that is known by Morrie. When used, he scatters the party in a special musk that monsters simply can't resist.

Monstrous Musk is automatically known by Morrie when he joins the party. It makes monsters chase after the party while walking. It costs 0 MP to use. Due to monsters appearing on the field in the 3DS version rather than by random encounters, monsters will either chase after the player or run away from them. This can be helpful for hunting metal slimes, as even they cannot resist the power of Morrie's musk.
