Murdaw (ムドー romanized as Mudou, Mudo in fan translations) appears as the primary antagonist in Dragon Quest VI. He terrorizes the world, and any who challenge him never return. As soon as the game begins, the player character, Carver, and Milly go to fight Murdaw. Upon reaching him, he defeats the party with ease and banishes them from his sight.

Characteristics

Murdaw is one of the Dread Fiends, and is the first you will encounter. He is the seal on Alltrades Abbey and defeating him allows access to the class system. Murdaw is fought three times.

The first encounter with Murdaw is in his Phantom World stronghold, the Underkeep. Upon defeating him, it is revealed he is not the actually the real Murdaw at all.....
