Naturalist

Naturalist is a recurring talent in the Dragon Quest Monsters series introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. It teaches various skills suitable for beast-type monsters.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2Edit

Uncarnate is no longer learned. Instead, Mysterian Mauler is learned with 57 points and Hatchet Man now requires only 75.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark PrinceEdit

Naturalist can be learned once again by Great sabrecubs, Platypunks, and Spiked hares.

Ability Skill Points Description
Heart Breaker 3 Inflicts slashing damage on a single enemy and stuns it for 1 turn.
Sandstorm 10 Whips up a dense cloud of dust that lowers the accuracy of enemy attacks for 2 to 5 turns.
Attack Attacker 20 Damages a single enemy and occasionally lowers its attack for 2 to 5 turns.
Mercurial Thrust 30 A punching technique that only inflicts a small amount of damage, but allows the user to attack before anyone else.
Tongue Lashing 50 Slathers a single enemy with slimy saliva, stunning it and lowers its defence.
War Cry 70 An ear-popping shout that stuns all enemies for 1 turn.
Hatchet Man 85 Inflicts slashing damage on a single enemy. The attack has a high likelihood of missing, but an increased chance of inflicting a critical hit when it succeeds.
Auto-Restora 83 Restores a small amount of HP after each action.
