The Nature family or Plant family (Japanese Kanji: 植物 Hiragana: しょくぶつ Romanji: Shokubutsu) refers to the type of monsters Dragon Quest series that take the form of plants, flowers, fruits, or fungi. In certain games, it also includes bugs and sometimes even aquatics.
