The spell Oomph (バイキルト Baikiruto, originally localized in English as Bikill, later localized as TwinHits) is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest Series.

Effect

For most of the series games, Oomph is used in combat to temporarily double the attack power of a character.

In Dragon Quest IX, it increases a party member's attack by two levels (see Gritty Ditty).

Localization History

The spell was introduced to Americans as the spell Bikill in Dragon Warrior III. When Dragon Warrior Monsters was released, the spell was localized by Eidos as TwinHits. Enix America kept the localization of the spell name as TwinHits as it released Dragon Warrior VII and remade Dragon Warrior III for Game Boy Color. From Dragon Quest VIII on, the spell has been localized by Square Enix as Oomph.
