Revision as of 16:55, 13 February 2019

For the Dragon Quest IV enemy formerly localized as "Orc", see Pickayune.

The Orc is a pig-headed monster wearing a green tunic and holding a spear. Their fur and clothing are dyed new colors as they advance upwards in their species' society, creating some putridity porcine pigment combinations.

Characteristics

Orcs are anthropomorphic boars that dress in simple clothing and carry spears as weapons. Contrary to common depictions in fantasy literature, movies, and video games that originated from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings series of books, the orcs of Dragon Quest are boar beastmen rather than green-skinned humanoids.

Dragon Quest Monsters

In this game, orcs are members of the Devil family rather than the Beast family. Orcs can be encountered as enemies in the Medal Man and Extinction Traveler's Gates. They can also be bred with a pedigree of any member of the Devil family and a BeanMan. Orcs learn Sap, BirdBlow, and Vivify naturally. An orc is also necessary to breed a Yeti, by breeding it with any member of the Beast family as a pedigree.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2

Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker

Orcs are Rank E monsters of the Beast family. They have the Speedster skillset naturally and cannot be put to sleep.
