The paring knife (くだものナイフ kudamono naifu "Fruit knife") is a simple weapon in the Dragon Quest series. It is a fairly weak dagger.
Appearances
Dragon Quest V
The paring knife has an attack bonus of +6 and can be equipped by Bianca, Nera, the Hero's daughter, and some monster companions. It can be purchased from Roundbeck for 50 gold and sold for 25 gold. It is equipped by Bianca as a child when she joins.
Dragon Quest IX
The paring knife has an attack bonus of +4 and a one star rarity. It can be bought for 70 gold in Stornway, and sold for 7 gold. Warriors, Mages, and Thieves can equip them.
