Phantom mask
The phantom mask is a recurring piece of headwear in the Dragon Quest series. It is a high-level piece of equipment and has differing special properties depending on the game, but it typically increases the wearer's evasiveness.

The phantom mask has a defence bonus of +48 and increases evasion by 1/8th. It can be worn by Angelo and Morrie. The mask can only be made using the Alchemy Pot and can be sold for 29,000 gold.

Dragon Quest XI
The phantom mask has a defence bonus of +51, an evasion bonus of 2 percent, and an agility bonus of +33. These bonus can be increased by using the forge to +53, +56, or +59 for defence, 3 or 4 percent for evasion, and +34, +35, +37 for agility. It can be created using the recipe of 2 platinum ore, 2 butterfly wing, 3 evencloth, 3 slipweed, and 1 spectralite. The recipe is found in a chest in the Fierce Forest section of the Sage's Trial. All eight party members can equip it.
