'''Himiko''' is the Queen and ruler of [[Jipang]] (or [[Jipang|Zipangu]]) in ''[[Dragon Warrior III]]''.  The character of Himiko is based on the real [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Himiko Himiko] from Japanese history and legend.

By the time the [[Erdrick|hero]] arrives in Jipang, the real Himiko has been killed by the [[Orochi]], who in disguise assumes the role of Himiko and orders the villagers to sacrifice young women to appease the Orochi.

In [[Dragon Quest III|the remakes]], Himiko can be found alive and well on the upper floor of Jipang's pachisi track, which can only be unlocked via a wish granted by defeating [[Divinegon]] after finishing the main game. She seems to be wandering around aimlessly and mentions that she's not quite sure what she's doing in such a place.

Despite the player being unable to do so, the old man in [[Greenlad]] can take the form of Himiko with the usage of the [[Staff of Change]].
