The Poison Moth Knife, Venomous dagger or Bug Knife, is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest franchise. Of unusual design, it may induce paralysis on strike.

Dragon Quest IV
The poison moth knife has an attack bonus of +24. It can be wielded by Borya, Torneko Taloon, Maya & Meena. Laurel has one among his equipment.
It can be purchased for 750 gold coins, and sold for 562. Tessie will sell it at Torneko's shop for 1,125.
Dragon Quest V
The poison moth knife has an attack bonus of +24. It can be purchased in Stockenbarrel for 900 gold.
