Purple eye is a recurring ítem in the Dragon Quest series. It is a violet-coloured jewel in the shape of an eye that is used as a crafting material.

Dragon Quest X[edit]

Purple eye is used as a material for crafting weapons, furniture, and some armour. It can be received by exchanging one Mini medal or dropped by various monsters, including Woebergines, Weaken beakons, Brimstone bulbs, Cutterflies, Alarmours, Aggrosculptures, Samiginas, Grim keepers, and Moai minstrels.

Purple eye can be purchased from the shop at L'Académie de Notre Maitre des Médailles for 1,000 gold each, picked up from sparkly spots at the Eerie Eyrie, Nautica, and the Battleground, or sometimes received from red treasure chests from playing Double of Nothing during poker at the casino in Puerto Valor and Octagonia. It can also be dropped by Succubats, Hypothermions, Shadows, and Diethons. One can be found in a treasure chest in the Zwaardsrust Region. It can be sold for 250 gold.
