Red wood is an item that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest XI. It is a section of lumber taken from a great crimson tree that is used as an ingredient for rare and powerful pieces of equipment.

Red wood can be picked up from sparkly spots in the Eerie Valley and the Fierce Forest in the postgame or dropped by Malicious lava lamplings, Fouler jowlers, Malicious bongo bangos, Red mists, Malicious stump champs, Infernal serpents, and Vicious flamethrowers. It can be sold for 250 gold.
