Schadenfreude is a whip ability in the Dragon Quest series. It restores the user's health based on a portion of the damage inflicted.
Appearances
Dragon Quest VIII
This technique makes its series debut by the name of Lady's Thong, owing to the gender of its practitioner. It restores 1/8th of the damage dealt to an enemy group for 2 MP, and requires that Miss Albert invest 23 skill points into her whip skill.
An improved version of the technique exists, Queen's Thong. The skill now restores 1/4th of the damage dealt, and deals an additional 25% more damage to the first enemy struck. Mastering this skill requires 82 points.
Dragon Quest IX
This ability is functionally identical to Queen's Thong, but it costs 5 MP instead of 2. Learned with 76 skill points allocated into Whip skill.
