Sleep Attack is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. It launches a melee attack that may knock the target Sleep.
Monsters first gained the ability to put characters to sleep with normal attacks in Dragon Quest II, eventually becoming its own skill that can be used by monster companions in V. The effect can be duplicated with weapons like the Dream blade.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit]
Sleep Attack can be used by Man o' wars, Merluscs, Mummies, and Malroth* himself.
Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit]
Sleep Attack can be used exclusively by the Morphean mushroom.
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]
Sleep Attack can be used by Bantamweights, Bodkin bowyers, Fat bats, Vampire battlers, and Master Kung.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]
Sleep Attack is learned by the Funghoul at level 5. It does not cost MP to use.
