Slewse (テパ, Tepa, Tuhn in earlier localizations) is a village in southwestern Torland in Dragon Quest II. It's name is derived from Sluice, a term for sliding gates and similar devices that control the flow of water.
Overview
Slewse provides access to a watergate which must be opened in order to visit the Tower of the Moon. The water gate is hidden in the northwest corner of the village and can only be opened using the Floodgate key.
Don Calico also lives in Slewse and can make Flowing dress if given the Celestial skein and Subtle Shuttle. This piece of equipment is the de facto best for the Princess of Moonbrooke.
