EtymologyEdit

In the English version, the ring shares a name with the Sorcerer's Stone from the Harry Potter series of books, a legendary substance that was believed by medieval alchemists to be able to turn lead into gold. The philosopher's stone itself appears in the Dragon Quest series under the name Sage's stone.
