Sparkly sap is a recurring item in the Dragon Quest series. It is a bottle of bright sap collected from a tree that is used as a crafting ingredient.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest X[edit]

Sparkly sap is an ingredient that is primarily used in woodworking for crafting equipment and furniture. It can only be purchased from a material store.

Dragon Quest XI[edit]

Sparkly sap can be purchased from L'Académie de Notre Maitre des Médailles for 400 gold, received from sparkly spots at the Emerald Coast, the Costa Valor, the Dundrasil Region, the Sniflheim Region, and the Path to Trial Isle, or can be received as a prize for playing poker at the casino in Puerto Valor or Octagonia. The sparkly sap is used in the following recipes for the Fun-Size Forge:

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below[edit]

Sparkly sap can be dropped by Bloody hands and King cureslimes, received from King Flaminio in exchange for 8 mini medals, or received as a reward for defeating Veteran Marquis de Léon with silver clear time. It can be sold for 1,000 gold. The sap can be used in the quick recipe for the Ace of spoils or for creating Venus' tear with the Alchemy Pot. Three phials of sparkly sap are required to complete Quest #78: To Bag a Better Butterfly.

Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy's End[edit]

Sparkly sap is used as an ingredient for improving various accessories. It can only be dropped by Antiquitrees and can be sold for 900 gold.

Dragon Quest Treasures[edit]

Sparkly sap can be collected from forage points on the Paternoggin and is mainly used for cooking various dishes at the canteen or for scouting monsters.
